Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to:
- Lead the overall BOH operation to achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals.
- Drive inventory efficiency and maximize sales by maintaining ideal inventory levels.
- Manage labor spend through educated scheduling choices.
- Create store schedules for effective staffing before, during, and after business hours.
- Manage receipt and return of all inventory coming to and from the store - this includes regular orders, RMAs, and transfers.
- Manage back-end responsibilities for returned unsellable inventory.
- Lead and organize seasonal product flips by partnering with the Store Manager and Visual Merchandising contact.
- Maintain expert product knowledge with the ability to train.
- You oversee smooth daily operations, create staff schedules, support physical inventories, manage incoming and outgoing inventory, lead seasonal product flips, and help drive sales through strong product storytelling and seamless store execution.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- equivalent years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree(s)
- Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, turn, gross-margin, open-to-buy, product merchandising, and retail selling skills
- Knowledge of performance athletic footwear/apparel/accessories and their related technologies
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- train staff to treat everyone entering the store, from elite athletes to first-time runners, with the same degree of enthusiasm, support, and acceptance regardless of their abilities.
- Ability to successfully lead independently or alongside the store manager
- Demonstration of innovation and initiative - always looking at improving processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary
- Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments' operations and/or morale

- Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust, resulting in effective working relationships across the store and company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
Nice to have
- 3+ years of experience in retail
- previous inventory management experience preferred
- 1+ year of leadership experience within the retail industry, preferred
Compensation
- The pay range for this position is $23.27 - $32.59 per hour. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Bonus - In addition to base pay, Brooks employees may also be offered an annual bonus based on company performance.
