About the role
- The Automation Technician executes routine automation and control system tasks with minor variation, adjusting methods to resolve common operational issues.

Responsibilities
- The Automation Technician maintains, configures, and troubleshoots Distributive Control and Safety Instrumented systems in support of safe, reliable operation of gas processing plants.
- Diagnose and maintain control system hardware and software - Support Microsoft Windows 2016 and Microsoft Server 2016 Operating Systems or newer and related hardware.
- Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMIs to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.
- Support Microsoft Windows 2016 and Microsoft Server 2016 Operating Systems or newer and related hardware (some within a Microsoft Domain environment).
- Maintain documentation of control systems as well as OT networks and optical fiber networks.
- Assist with the design and installation of new automation equipment.
- Maintain robust OT security and redundancy for Control Networks.
- Troubleshoot any control issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience with one or more of the following is required… Foxboro DCS, Rockwell PLCs and HMIs, PlantPAX, Aveva or WonderWare HMIs, Honeywell C-300 Controllers, Honeywell Safety Manager and/or Emerson DeltaV systems.
- Some travel may be required.
- Minimum 5 years related DCS/SIS or PLC experience.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID's, electrical one-line diagrams and other complex drawings.
- Ability to meet regulatory testing requirements with all pertinent equipment as needed.
- Travel may be required as needed to support business and organizational needs
