About the role
- The Construction Superintendent plays a pivotal role in overseeing all facets of project execution on the jobsite, including planning, scheduling, staffing, safety, quality control, and budget management.
- This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within defined scope and budget parameters.
- Depending on the size and complexity of the project, the Superintendent may be responsible for coordinating and completing either a portion or the entire project.
Responsibilities
- Project Execution Develop and execute project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Financial Management Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects are completed within defined budgetary constraints.
- Quality Control Manage project quality and ensure work is performed in accordance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
Requirements
- Develop project estimates as required, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- 5+ years experience in industrial or utility construction management Must have strong knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the specific project types.
- Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboarding.
Nice to have
- NCCCO Rigger Level II certification preferred
- candidates with or without Level I certification may be considered with the expectation to obtain Level II within 180 days of hire.
