About the role

  • ASI is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Event & Business Development Specialist to help recruit and engage top-performing promotional products distributors for ASI's premier hosted buyer events, including fASIlitate and Power House.
  • This role combines business development, event recruitment, and account management to ensure high-quality distributor attendance while delivering an exceptional attendee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage targeted recruitment pipelines using CRM data, historical attendee lists, referrals, social media, and industry research to achieve attendance goals.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors by understanding their business objectives, communicating the value and ROI of ASI events, and supporting attendee onboarding and retention.
  • Partner with Marketing, Event Operations, Distributor Sales, and Supplier Sales teams to execute successful recruitment campaigns and ensure an exceptional attendee experience.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare recruitment reports, respond to inquiries, resolve escalated attendee issues, and communicate participation across internal teams.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of business-to-business sales, business development, recruiting, or account management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel for ASI events and industry meetings as needed.
  • Key Skills & Attributes:

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience with event management, conference planning, or travel coordination is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems
  • experience with Personify/D365 is a plus.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000.
