- Evaluate and integrate electrical components, sensors, and compute modules across a range of product form factors.
Responsibilities
- Drive electrical design and integration across one or more hardware programs, through all phases of product development.
- Define power requirements and design a harness system to ensure efficient power distribution.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to resolve cross-functional tradeoffs.
- Support development of test plans, fixtures, and validation activities to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Work with external partners and vendors as needed to support design and manufacturing.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in product development, with demonstrated independent ownership of electromechanical hardware programs from concept through production.
- Experience taking at least one hardware product from concept through production with minimal supervision.
- Experience with PCB design including schematic capture, layout, fabrication and assembly oversight, board bring-up, and DVT.
- Experience designing electrical systems that integrate compute modules, sensors, routers, and batteries.
- must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage program environment with ambiguous and incomplete requirements and aggressive milestones.
- ability to work effectively with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Experience across multiple product form factors or programs
- soft goods, wearables, or body-worn experience a plus.
Compensation
- $165,000 - $195,000 DOE
