About the role

  • About The Helix School The Helix School serves autistic children and young adults ages 5 to 22 from across the Bay Area.
  • Through an integrated, evidence-based curriculum, we meet students where they are-adapting to their developmental levels, sensory processing profiles, and regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the lead teacher and others on the student's team in preparing and presenting academic plan
  • Provide behavioral support to student when needed
  • We also partner with public school districts throughout the Bay Area to provide specialized services and consultation.

Requirements

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work on an interdisciplinary team.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children (experience in special education strongly preferred).
  • Comfort with hands-on, flexible, and student-centered teaching approaches.
