About the role
- Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Laboratory Technician located in South Charleston, WV.
- In this role, you will provide technical execution of catalyst preparation and disposal activities as well as guidance and influential leadership for the operation of the Quality Control (QC) laboratory supporting 24/7 pilot plant operations.
- Your performance impacts the success and productivity of the lab and operations teams with closely related work activities.
Responsibilities
- Applies advanced skills and technical expertise to lead the safe and efficient operation of both catalyst preparation laboratories and QC laboratory.
- Primary focal point for catalyst preparation and disposal activities supporting 24/7 pilot plant operations, providing detailed execution of safe and precise actions to deliver critical support for process continuity.
- Uses process knowledge and skills to lead improvements in catalyst lab and QC lab performance and operating discipline, including creating and improving job procedures, facility work processes, and solving complex problems.
- Works with engineers, leadership, and maintenance craft to develop project plans and procedures, working with group technicians to ensure understanding and execution.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
- Uses deep process knowledge to identify, develop, and implement improvements to laboratory procedures, workflows, operating discipline, and facility processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience required.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
Nice to have
- Associates Degree + relevant work experience preferred.
