About the role
- ESTIMATOR Price the work that defines one of Miami's top custom millwork firms.
- McKenzie Craft fabricates high-end, custom architectural millwork out of our 25,000 sq ft workshop in the heart of Miami, FL.
- You will work closely with Project Management, Production, and the Executive Team to produce detailed proposals and present them to the client.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, material use and selections, and scope of work, and perform quantity takeoffs
- Build relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers
- delivers correct, error-free work within company guidelines and is passionate about getting the customer a quality product
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Wood Technology, or related field, or 5+ years estimating millwork projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet software
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure, and hit deadlines
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with the ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Attend required handoff meetings on accepted bids to ensure efficient and complete transfer of information
