About the role

Automated aviation systems will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient and fundamentally transformative to the way goods - and eventually people - move around the planet.
Systems Engineer you will be involved in all system development aspects of our prototypes and certifiable safety critical flight systems.
This role can be remote, or located at our facility in Mountain View, California.

Define & deliver development plans, process, work instructions, training.
Develop new and novel methods, techniques or processes.
Technically lead significant areas of the program across system requirements, design, validation and verification:
Lead cross functional RCCAs, Trade studies, Integral Process.
Perform trades studies to assess performance, complexity, risk, and cost of competing technical solutions.
Define and support the execution of the system activities according to ARP-4754 guidance
With the support of the entire team, you will be instrumental in developing the systems designs and lifecycle data that demonstrates our system is safe and error free.
An offer of employment will be contingent upon the applicant's capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws.

Act as a subject matter expert in your respective domain area.
Bachelor's Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline, or equivalent experience at a minimum
Deep system development experience from specifying, designing, integrating and testing multiple complex safety critical avionics certification programs
Experience planning, and executing all of the development processes in ARP4754 across multiple programs, including leading system review audits with the airworthiness authorities
Advanced Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline
Proven experience leading engagement with airworthiness authorities for new/novel applications, technologies, or means of compliance
Experience leading multiple different inter-disciplinary teams through complex architectural trade studies or root cause investigations
