About the role
- Spaces include labs, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other common areas of the facility.
- These units include Facilities Management Renovations, Custodial Services, Environmental Health and Safety, outside contractors and others.
- This includes arranging furniture assembly, furniture moves, and the hanging of whiteboards, chalkboards, and pictures.
Responsibilities
- Performs safety checklist items, such as posting signs, replenishing first-aid kit supplies, checking emergency lighting, and filing monthly forms for AEDs and Stop the Bleed kits.
- Assists the FSS team in documenting, reporting, and scheduling building and grounds needs, and serves as a point of contact for building occupants, the Steward FSS Team, UFS, and vendors.
- Provides direct administrative support for the daily functions of the FSS team.
- Works daily with multiple groups that affect the function and operation of the building.
- Supports the daily facility needs of occupants and their assigned spaces.
Requirements
- Works with Facilities Coordinator, faculty advisors, and the FSS Team to achieve the best use of space and complete required improvements, often within limited budgets.
- Serves as a point of contact to ensure floors and carpets are regularly cleaned and that all required monthly inspections (building condition, vehicle, and custodial services) are completed.
Skills
- Knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of maintaining institutional and departmental data and tracking systems.
