About the role

  • Frostburg State University (FSU), Office of Admissions seeks applications for a full-time, exempt Admissions Counselor position.
  • Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement recruitment activities such as campus trips, presentations, Saturday visits, virtual events, resource tables, application workshops, and designated area projects.
  • Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, this role helps plan and coordinate undergraduate recruitment efforts for first-time and transfer students to support enrollment growth across all FSU programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with one to three years of related experience.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively and promote a culturally diverse prospective student population.
  • Valid non-commercial driver's license and a desire to travel required.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to assist with student enrollment.
  • Frequent travel to high schools and two-year colleges with some overnight travel required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
  • More than 4,000 students enroll yearly.
