Responsibilities

- Implement directional drilling plans and procedures according to customer plan and objectives
- Monitor rig EDR to maintain and understand operational efficiencies
- Monitor and maintain the Bit Guidance System by evaluating each Convergence plan computed, creating/managing configurations, and reviewing all notices
- Troubleshoot and optimize sliding performance on multiple rigs
- Work with the H&P's Software and Technology Development teams to improve and develop technology solutions
- Collaborate with the Survey Management and Collision Avoidance teams as well as other H&P Technology groups
Requirements
- Must be fluent conversational and written Spanish
- Strong understanding of downhole tools
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new problems and situations
- Knowledge of basic algebra
- Regular and reliable attendance is essential and required in performance of the job.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or 2-year technical degree preferred
- At least 5 years combined rig/directional drilling/MWD experience preferred

- Oversee day-to-day directional drilling operations on multiple rigs
- Provide guidance and assistance to new teammates as needed
- Oversee and ensure optimal sliding operations through the use of H&P's AutoSlide System
- Regular communication with the Company Representative and the Directional Driller on site, regarding directional drilling progress and issues
- Identify and escalate potentially costly and dangerous outcomes to internal and external customers
- Effectively communicate complex information and results in a straightforward manner to internal and external customers
- Become knowledgeable in all of the different technologies H&P offers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and field personnel
