About the role

  • You'll be at the heart of our patient-centered care, valued for your compassion as you continually strive to improve the patient experience.
  • Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
  • Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment
  • Be engaged and eager to build a winning team
  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
  • Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
  • Directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.

Requirements

  • Additional certifications as required by department
  • On Call Required

Nice to have

  • Get With The Guidelines® Gold and Gold Plus awards from the American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Skills

  • Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards and utilizes these when providing nursing care.
  • Work experience: Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
  • Works with confidential material
