About the role
- You'll be at the heart of our patient-centered care, valued for your compassion as you continually strive to improve the patient experience.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment
- Be engaged and eager to build a winning team
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
- Directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.
Requirements
- Additional certifications as required by department
- On Call Required
Nice to have
- Get With The Guidelines® Gold and Gold Plus awards from the American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Skills
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards and utilizes these when providing nursing care.
- Work experience: Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Works with confidential material
