Responsibilities
- Designing and developing platform-level innovations (assembly systems, connection mechanisms, cover attachment solutions) that can be reused across current and future product lines, so the team isn't reinventing the wheel every time we develop something new.
- When something isn't performing the way it should, you dig in, diagnose, and develop a fix.
- Helping develop engineering solutions alongside our suppliers.
- You won't own the supplier relationship or sourcing decisions, but when the design team needs to work through a technical problem with a factory, you're there helping figure it out.
- Building a continuous improvement loop by translating customer feedback, complaints, returns data, and reviews into actionable product improvements.

- The Mission of the Manager, Product Engineering & Innovation We're creating a brand-new function at Cozey, and we're looking for someone who genuinely loves the craft of product engineering to help us build it.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, materials, tolerances, and DFM (design for manufacturability).
Requirements
- 5 to 8+ years in product engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering, ideally in consumer products, consumer electronics, soft goods, or similar.
- Experience designing systems or platforms that scale across a product line, not just one-off solutions.
Nice to have
- Furniture experience is a plus but not required.
