Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the design, execution, and analysis of complex genomic profiling experiments, including single-cell RNA-Seq, CITE-Seq, and spatial transcriptomics/proteomics.
  • Perform image analysis tasks for spatial transcriptomics and proteomics datasets, including de-array and alignment for multi-omics integration, cell segmentation and phenotyping.
  • Design, develop and implement computational pipelines for processing and analyzing spatial omics datasets, including spatial transcriptomics and proteomics.
  • Proactively identify technical artifacts, interpret quality control results, optimize assay performance, and ensure high quality and reproducible data delivery on timely deadlines.
  • Extensive experience designing and conducting single-cell and spatial omics studies to generate and validate critical biomarker hypotheses.

Requirements

  • II - Major or advanced degree in bioinformatics, immunology, cell & molecular biology, pathology, or other relevant biological sciences.
  • B.S. & typically 12+ years, M.S. & typically 10+ years, Ph.D., or equivalent & typically 4+ years of relevant industrial biotechnology experience.
  • Broad technical expertise in molecular and cell biology assays, specifically specializing in scRNA-seq, and CITE-seq.
  • Expertise in executing spatial omics experiments using CosMx, Xenium, and Visium platforms, integrated with deep expertise in molecular pathology techniques such as IHC and ISH
  • Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (AWS) and high-performance computing (HPC) environments for processing large-scale genomic data.
  • Strong project leadership and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Excellent presentation and people management skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex scientific data to diverse stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • A robust track record of scientific writing, ensuring high-quality documentation and verbal reporting of technical findings.
  • Major or advanced degree in bioinformatics, immunology, cell & molecular biology, pathology, or other relevant biological sciences.
