About the role

  • Learn more at tandemdiabetes.com A DAY IN THE LIFE: This is a field based role covering; Cleveland, Ohio - West.
  • Directly responsible for the clinical services and, in partnership with a Territory Manager ("territory sales team"), the promotion and sale of Tandem Diabetes products within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • CDSS maintains dotted line reporting structure to Regional Clinical Manager (RCM) for clinical responsibilities, goals and compliance.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and delivers patient product trainings in the assigned territory. Ensures external referral decisions meet needs of HCP, patient, and Tandem business.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent professional relationships with HCPs to support the sale and effective use of Tandem Diabetes products / services.
  • Creates value for the HCP by differentiating Tandem Diabetes Care products and clinical services.
  • Responsible for initial and ongoing certification of contracted and non-contracted Tandem Pump Trainers in the territory.Ensures external training quality supports Tandem's training excellence scores.
  • Maintains account-level training requirements and trainer details for efficient and effective training coordination.
  • Educates HCPs on the use of Tandem therapy management reports to optimize patient outcomes.
  • CDSS maintains solid line reporting structure to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for all sales and business process responsibilities and goals.
  • With TM, develops a business plan to promote new and maintain existing business in the territory.
  • Uses business acumen to develop strategies and programs to address clinical needs or concerns.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel by car or airplane independently in the field at least 80% of the time and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business issues.
  • Due to direct patient contact, current negative Tuberculosis Testing and biannual Tuberculosis screening with documented proof is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate as a clinical expert to patients and HCPs
  • Confirms completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
  • Efficiently uses available tools and resources to identify sales leads and gather the information required to determine if prospecting criteria have been satisfied.

Nice to have

  • 1 year of related diabetes/endocrinology industry experience preferred.

Compensation

  • The base pay for this position is $102,000 to $123,000 annually, with a target earning potential of $126,000 to $148,000 annually.
  • Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market.
  • In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes incentive compensation, equity, and a robust benefits package
  • You'll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (with accrual starting on day 1) and you will have access to a 401k plan with company match as well as an Employee Stock Purchase plan.
  • Meets or exceeds annual clinical and training goals.
