About the role
- Supervisory: Responsible for the direction and indirect supervision of employees.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Work Environment: Usual office working conditions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Auditor & Trainer for the Quality Management System.
- Interface with 3rd party registrar and support 3rd party certification audits to achieve and maintain IATF 16949 automotive certification.
- Collaborate with management to develop, improve and maintain Quality Systems reporting and maintenance.
- Develop and implement measures to ensure achievement of overall company goals, activities, and initiatives, as needed.
- Support customer Quality System audits and assist in meeting customer Quality System certifications, as needed.
- Support the document control function.
- Travel to support the facility, as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in related field.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization and with diverse international backgrounds.
Skills
- Strong background with Quality Management Systems, specifically IATF 16949.
- Solid understanding of continuous improvement methods, problem-solving techniques, audit principles, and change management processes.
- Quality Systems auditing experience (auditor certification strongly preferred).
- Understanding of industry core tools (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PAPP, SPC, MSA)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong project management skills; excellent organizational skills and flexibility for multi-task situations; good problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
