Responsibilities

  • It also operates Denver's asphalt plant, which produces the materials necessary to resurface and maintain the city's transportation infrastructure.
  • In addition, Street Maintenance leads Denver's citywide snow response program, ensuring timely and efficient snow removal to keep roadways accessible during winter weather.
  • To support these critical operations, the Street Maintenance team is currently hiring for an Equipment Operator II (Construction Sweeper) position.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of city of Denver streets/alleys and use of maps
  • Three (3) years of general labor experience which must include two (2) years of experience operating light to medium sized equipment.
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Compensation

  • 140 hours of PTO earned within first year + 12 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday, 1 Wellness Day and 1 volunteer day per year
