Terminal Operations Manager (Drayage / Port Logistics) Houston, TX Cargomatic, Inc.
XLR8 Truck Lines, a motor carrier division of Cargomatic is looking for a Terminal Manager in our Houston facility.
This role is critical in driving operational excellence across drayage and port-centric logistics while ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Maintain and grow capacity to meet market demand
Ensure efficient container movement, dispatching, yard flow, and coordination with port terminals and partners
Optimize processes to reduce dwell time and improve service performance
Lead, mentor, and develop terminal staff (dispatchers, clerks, yard personnel)
Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and performance
Deliver high customer satisfaction through communication, accuracy, and proactive issue resolution
Implement and enforce safety protocols
Strategic Support & Growth
Support regional expansion and market growth initiatives
Lead or assist with new customer launches and operational scaling

Must have extensive experience managing a trucking terminal, port drayage, and intermodal operations planning loads and driver capacity
Knowledge of transportation regulations, port procedures, and safety standards
Experience with TMS/WMS systems
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
Experience with P&L ownership or operational budgeting

Compensation The expected salary range for this role is $105,000 – $130,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and other job-related factors.
