About the role
- Job Description Games developers are involved in the creation and production of games that range from computer, handheld, console and arcade games to games on the internet, mobile phones and other wireless game applications.
- The making of a game from concept to finished product can take up to three years and involve teams of up to 200 professionals.
- There are many stages, including creating and designing a game's look and how it plays, animating characters and objects, creating audio, programming, localisation, testing and producing.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques
- SOA experience with strong familiarity with SOAP, REST, JMS..
- Experience with one or more agile development methodologies, like SCRUM or XP
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5-15 years development experience in several Object Oriented languages like Java and Ruby
- 3+ years in managing software applications including web based
- 3+ years' experience working in large scale high performance web environments
- Strong knowledge of web application frameworks and patterns (Struts, Spring, Rails, JSF, MVC)
