About the role
- We work with some of the top research organizations and facilities in the country including multiple institutes at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Axle is seeking a Biologist to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) located in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities
- Periodic summaries of relevant scientific literature to support experimental design and methodology selection - Ad-Hoc
- With experts in biomedical science, software engineering, and program management, we focus on developing and applying research tools and techniques to empower decision-making and accelerate research discoveries.

Skills
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art confocal microscopy systems
- Experience with computational analysis of microscopy data
- Experience with transgenic mice and mouse colony management
- Experience with sample preparation for confocal microscopy
- Deliverables
- Laboratory Management Records: Up-to-date inventory logs, reagent tracking, and equipment maintenance documentation - Ad-Hoc
- Progress Updates: Provides updates (oral or written) during lab meetings or as requested by the COR or on-site manager - Ad-Hoc
