About the role
- As the Engineer II of Inspection Technology, you will lead prevention of quality issues maximizing yield and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through the establishment of inspection systems, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the inspection machine standards revision through Process Flow Diagrams for both Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance as well as Process Down Manuals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in engineering equipment experience in production/plant environment (including internship or co-op acceptable).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with equipment and processes such as Programmable Logic Controllers, Statistical Process Control, Manufacturing Execution System, etc.)
- Experience operating in manufacturing setting with Total Productive and Preventive Maintenance methodologies
- Knowledge of Six Sigma
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours
- Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day
- identify and implement required improvements
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toed shoes
- Lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds on occasion
- Stoop, twist, bend
- Reach overhead
- Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods
Skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound decisions
- Effective workflow and process management
- Planning skills and effective communication of priorities
- Experience with machine vision algorithm libraries (Halcon, OpenCV) and deep learning models
