About the role
- Assist in coordinating fabric development submissions, including strike-offs, sample yardage and development yardage
- Track fabric development progress, revisions and approvals in PLM, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with global fabric suppliers on development timelines, submissions and feedback
Responsibilities
- Support seasonal and carry-over fabric developments across all product categories
- Partner with Design and Product Development to review fabric aesthetics, handfeel, construction and suitability for end use
- Maintain seasonal fabric records and fabric libraries, both physical and digital
- Support cost visibility during development and flag risks or changes to the Materials Manager
- Support product set-up and ongoing data maintenance in PLM and ERP systems

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously
Requirements
- Degree in Textiles, Textile Engineering, Material Science or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in fabric or materials development, preferably within the outdoor or performance apparel industry
- Highly organized and process-driven, with the ability to work within seasonal calendars
Skills
- Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills across functions and regions
- Strong IT skills including MS Office and PLM systems; Illustrator experience is an asset
Compensation
- $53,000.00 - $74,000.00 / year
