About the role

  • You will work closely with our sponsor coverage teams and industry specific sector teams, risk management and our portfolio analytics team.
  • The position requires a self-starter who can independently analyze credit and contribute to deal volumes while operating at various levels of seniority in different situations.

Responsibilities

  • You will support the senior bankers with all aspects of managing a large portfolio of pro rata and senior secured loans primarily to sub-investment grade clients.
  • Collaborate with Origination, Risk Management, Compliance and Loan Operations teams.

Requirements

  • You possess strong communication skills - writing sample required
  • You have strong credit skills - understand how to properly analyze risk
  • You are highly detailed in your work
  • You are self-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment
  • You have experience working for a US regulated bank and are familiar with all aspects of Fed / OCC requirements
  • You have previously received credit training and have a solid understanding of cash flow financing transactions

Nice to have

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in economics / finance / accounting / mathematics with excellent results.
  • An advanced degree and/or a CFA is a plus.
  • Formal credit training is a plus

Compensation

  • The salary range listed reflects base salary only.
  • $155,000-175,000
