About the role
- Within the Wind River Cloud team, we work with large-scale projects like Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack and fast-paced Open-Source technologies that are in high demand from our customers.
- Wind River Cloud has adopted these technologies into the core of our product, which is driving us to find experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these container and virtualization solutions.
- The right candidate will possess proven software engineering skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop software for a complete cloud infrastructure software stack.
- Develop high quality designs and code based on Kubernetes, containerized applications, distributed cloud systems, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Develop and deliver platform upgrade features with high quality design and code.
- We've achieved recent 5G milestones including the world's first successful 5G data session with Verizon and building one of the largest Open RAN networks in the world with Vodafone.
Requirements
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with Bachelor's
- 2+ years of programming experience with C/C++ and Python
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Deep knowledge of Cloud storage solutions.
- Experience with Debian packaging, OSTree.
- Track record of building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems.
- Contribution to OpenStack community or related other open-source projects.
- Working knowledge in L2/L3 networking and OVS.
- C/C++ network programming.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Passion for mentoring other developing engineers
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
