About the role

  • Participate in staff development, attend meetings, and attend in-services as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred, in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or Communication Disorders from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech language Pathology
  • NH SLA Certification from the NH Office of Professional License and Certification
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Essential Responsibilities:
  • NOTE: All duties are to be implemented as prescribed, directed and supervised by a New Hampshire licensed SLP. Documented supervision will consist of no less than 10% of direct time per week (on-site, in view) and 5% indirect time per week.
  • Assist the Speech/language pathologist with speech/language and hearing screenings without making interpretations.
  • Perform speech therapy as directed by Individual Education Plans developed by a licensed SLP.
  • Document client performance (charts, records, graphs) and report data to the supervising SLP to track client progress and quality improvement.
  • Assist SLP with clerical duties (preparing therapy materials, scheduling activities etc.).
  • Assist with departmental operations such as maintaining supplies and equipment and a safe work area.

Nice to have

  • One (1) to three (3) years' experience working as an SLA or experience working with children preferred

Compensation

  • Up to 9 paid holidays annually, plus one floating holiday of your choice. For programs that remain open during holidays, staff scheduled to work will receive holiday pay in accordance with program guidelines.
