About the role

The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels.

Disassemble, handle, and reassemble equipment in a manner that maintains the conditions and food safety of the equipment at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Tolerance / ability to work at heights on ladders and scissors lifts in order to clean ceiling tiles, pipes, and the tops of large sections of equipment.
Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related-problems.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms.
Also required:

The ability to be organized, self-motivated, work as a team in a fast paced work environment
The ability to understand and execute Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's) and best practices safely, consistently and effectively
Previous experience in a food manufacturing sanitation role is preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
Cleaning or chemical sanitation experience/training or equivalent.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
