Responsibilities

- To operate and monitor all utility equipment located outside the boiler house and perform all operating duties as it relates to
- Completes water tests, sludge tests, and wastewater tests, perform chemical drawdowns, and adjust chemical feed as necessary.
- Conduct daily work activities in support of HSE objectives and policies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to operate basic computer software applications including outlook, word and excel.
- Must have working knowledge and experience in the repair and maintenance of various types of mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings and follow mechanical specifications.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Required to work overtime, weekends, holidays and call-in as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position including climbing ladders and stairs, walking, bending, stooping etc.
- Must have good manual dexterity and experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, work at heights and work from platforms.
- Successful completion of a 3rd Class Operating Engineer TSSA Certificate. This TSSA certificate requires the successful completion of TSSA exams.
- Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, TSSA and related regulations.
- Must have working knowledge and experience in the repair and maintenance of various types of mechanical equipment. Diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to technical issues.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms. Must be able to work in confined spaces, work at heights and work from platforms.
