About the role
- A recognized leader and licensed Architect who is responsible for envisioning, designing and delivering exceptional projects for clients.
- Provides technical leadership and acts as an advisor on projects.
- Endorses the firm's values by personally influencing client service, innovation and communication.
Responsibilities
- Leads team and other Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems
- Collaborates with PIC/PM in defining project work plans and developing and managing the production schedule, including effectively defining and meeting deadlines
- Leads the creation and modification of complex detailed implementation documents to incorporate the design intent, using diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices and advanced techniques
- Leads development of code analysis and confirms code and zoning requirements for assigned segment of project are met
- Supervises the preparation of documents by architectural team, including verifying implementation documents conform to QA/QC and HKS standards, best practice and quality expectations
- Manages the technical resolution and coordination for the project
- Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings
- Maintains open communication with client and provides guidance through projects
- Communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation
- Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team, including promoting communication and creating approachability
Requirements
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture
- Architectural Registration required
- Typically 15+ years of experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Experience with health projects preferred
- Sustainable design accreditation preferred
- Advanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, accessibility guidelines and QA/QC process
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into implementation documents
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to manage team with diplomatic leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and external
Nice to have
- Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software preferred
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
Compensation
- The estimate displayed represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in the Denver location only.
- We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role.
