About the role

Muon seeks a Software Engineer to join our Mission Frontend team.
You'll work in a modern TypeScript monorepo and contribute to establishing this platform as the canonical interface for managing constellations, scheduling contacts, and monitoring tasking at scale.
You'll also be part of a team that treats AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, and similar) as a core part of the workflow, applying the same rigor to AI-generated output as to human-authored code.

Participate actively in code reviews and technical design discussions, contributing informed perspectives and helping raise the quality bar across the team.
Collaborate across backend and product teams to define requirements as needed.

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with strongly-typed frontend languages such as TypeScript or Flow.
Experience working in codebases with automated CI/CD pipelines and static analysis enforcement.
Proficiency in code revision management within larger, fast-moving teams.
Experience with AI assisted / agentic coding tools such as Codex or Claude Code.
Experience working with SSR (server-side rendering), RSC (React server components), and isomorphic code.
Experience working with 3d applications.
Experience working with interactive mapping and/or geospatial data visualization.
Experience with accessibility-focused component libraries such as React Aria or Radix UI.
Experience with frontend observability tooling (e.g., Grafana Faro, OpenTelemetry, Sentry).
Strong problem solving mindset with a focus on the end user while considering long term outcomes.
A passion for semantically correct, stable, clean code.
Demonstrated experience contributing to complex web applications.
Nice-to-have Skills
Experiencing working with large, cross-team monorepos.

The salary range for this role is $156,000 - $186,000. plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
At Muon salary is only part of our total compensation package.
