About the role
- The Adjunct Faculty Instructor in English is responsible for delivering effective instruction in English courses, including composition, literature, and communication skills.
- Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to: Delivering engaging and comprehensive English instruction to diverse student populations.
- Monitoring student progress and providing timely feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing course materials and assessments that align with program goals.
- The instructor will prepare and deliver lesson plans, assess student performance, and provide support to help students achieve course objectives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in English, Communications, Fine Arts, or a closely related field OR master's degree and 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Skills
- Previous teaching experience in English at the college or adult education level, preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive teaching practices.
- Proficiency with learning management systems and online teaching technologies, with willingness to teach in hybrid or online formats.
