About the role

  • This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law and further their career with an established firm in the California area.
  • As the Post Conviction Relief Attorney, you will report to the Supervising Attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Advise client on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case
  • Manage court appearances, drafting motions, interviewing clients and performing legal research
  • Manage workload of cases
  • The Post Conviction Relief Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Post Conviction Relief Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.

Requirements

  • Experience handling criminal cases at the state and local level
  • Do you have a passion for Criminal Defense and a desire to practice within an organization with lots of room for growth?
  • Experience with immigration law is highly desirable, but not required, as this position would have interactions with both criminal and immigration practices
  • Criminal Defense Experience or Immigration Law Experience
  • A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates
  • Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber

Nice to have

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required

Compensation

  • $80,000 to $100,000 annual salary
  • Pay ranges can be exceeded depending on experience on a case by case basis.
