About the role
- Tufts Hillel is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative professional to join our team as the Development/Operations Coordinator.
- Reporting jointly to the Director of Development and the Director of Operations & Finance, the Coordinator will contribute to the smooth execution of development initiatives, donor stewardship, and data management.
- The time allocated to various responsibilities of this role will vary based on peaks around holidays, events, donor meetings, and fundraising activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update donor records in Salesforce, guaranteeing data accuracy
- Generate and compile fundraising reports to support strategic planning, donor stewardship, and performance tracking
- Provide staffing support across departments including scheduling meetings, coordinating external engagements, and assist with day-to-day administrative needs
- Manage office supplies and inventory including ordering, organizing, and tracking of materials
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and perform well under pressure
- Professional development, mentoring, and skill-building opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum Required Qualifications
Nice to have
- Prepare and send weekly donor acknowledgement letters ensuring timely recognition
- Process financial transactions including payments, reimbursements, and donations
- Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of events
- Welcome and assist Tufts Hillel visitors (in person, by phone, and by email)
- General administrative duties for Tufts Hillel as assigned
- Knowledge and skills typically acquired through a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication style
