About the role

  • Tufts Hillel is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative professional to join our team as the Development/Operations Coordinator.
  • Reporting jointly to the Director of Development and the Director of Operations & Finance, the Coordinator will contribute to the smooth execution of development initiatives, donor stewardship, and data management.
  • The time allocated to various responsibilities of this role will vary based on peaks around holidays, events, donor meetings, and fundraising activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update donor records in Salesforce, guaranteeing data accuracy
  • Generate and compile fundraising reports to support strategic planning, donor stewardship, and performance tracking
  • Provide staffing support across departments including scheduling meetings, coordinating external engagements, and assist with day-to-day administrative needs
  • Manage office supplies and inventory including ordering, organizing, and tracking of materials
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and perform well under pressure
  • Professional development, mentoring, and skill-building opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum Required Qualifications

Nice to have

  • Prepare and send weekly donor acknowledgement letters ensuring timely recognition
  • Process financial transactions including payments, reimbursements, and donations
  • Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of events
  • Welcome and assist Tufts Hillel visitors (in person, by phone, and by email)
  • General administrative duties for Tufts Hillel as assigned
  • Knowledge and skills typically acquired through a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication style
