About the role
- We are looking for extremely motivated and passionate HVAC apprentices who would like to be a part of an exciting new company fighting climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry.
- The bulk of the work would include removing gas furnaces and installing heat pump systems.
- Your input on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined would be expected.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes when installing or repairing systems
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams on the product and processes
Requirements
- 2 years of related equivalent work experience
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification (required)
- Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Familiarity with blueprints and schematics
- Experience with modern tools, including AI, to automate and make your day more efficient.
- Completion of (6
- 12 months) of a recognized HVAC program or combination of program work and 1
- Valid (unrestricted) Drivers License
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong desire to learn best practices in a team environment
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Follows OSHA Electrical Standard
Nice to have
- Hands on experience related to HVAC system install or service preferred
