About the role
- DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a full-time Experienced Veterinary Assistants (Level 2) to join our Emergency and Critical Care team.
- You will be responsible for patient care from triage to treatments, discharge, transfer, or euthanasia.
- This includes participation in upkeep of cleanliness of the hospital and kennels and assisting doctors (DVMs) and technicians as needed.
Requirements
- A genuine love of and respect for all animals is required, as is an appreciation of the human-animal bond.
Nice to have
- This position will work a 3/4 rotating schedules with 10 hours shifts including 1 weekend day per week.
- This means you have a consistent schedule that makes planning the rest of your life easy, and you get 3 or 4 days off in a row every week!
- What are we looking for in a candidate?
- 1+ year working as a veterinary assistant, or a combination of experience working in the veterinary field and current enrollment in an AVMA accredited tech program.
- Preferred minimum of one year emergency or other specialty small animal care experience.
Compensation
- $23k-$26k
