Requirements
- Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Current Fire Inspector I certification issued by the International Code Council (ICC) or National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of fire safety experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Prior experience in a higher education setting, research facility, hospital system, or other campus environment preferred.
- Experience with fire protection and life safety systems.
- Experience in delivering fire safety education programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team environment.
