Carnegie Mellon University, one of the world leaders in higher education and research, is seeking a Fire Safety Specialist to join the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team.

Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States.
Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Current Fire Inspector I certification issued by the International Code Council (ICC) or National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of fire safety experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Prior experience in a higher education setting, research facility, hospital system, or other campus environment preferred.
Experience with fire protection and life safety systems.
Experience in delivering fire safety education programs.
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team environment.
