About the role

Overview Tantor Media, a division of RBmedia, is one of the largest audio book publishers in the World.
Tantor Media currently has an opening for a Facilities Technician (Part-Time).
This is a part-time, non-exempt position and will report directly to the SVP, General Manager.

Under supervision of the Senior Vice President/General Manager, the position provides support for facilities-related needs of the office building.

Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and custodial hand and electric powered tools.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.
Ability to lift/move items up to 75lbs Follow oral and written instructions
Access and employ job related to computer software (email, work planning, timekeeping) at an effective proficiency level.
Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal employees, vendors and the landlord (as required).

The Facilities Technician must be able to conduct work in the state of CT including out of the Tantor Media headquarters in Old Saybrook, CT.

Completion of a private, military, or trade school training program that includes theory and on-the-job work, preferred.
