About the role

  • Northeast Community College is looking for a full-time Diesel Technology Instructor.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Requirements

  • Ability to write diagnosis and work completed on routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to use personal computer and various types of diagnostic equipment.
  • Requires an associate's degree in Diesel Technology, or related technical field.

Nice to have

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A combination of licensure and/or certification in conjunction with work experience may be considered in the absence of a college degree.
  • Must have EPA 609 Technician Refrigeration Certification.
  • ASE master certification in medium and heavy-duty diesel equipment required or will be required to obtain in first year.
  • CDL is preferred but not required.

Skills

  • 1) Electrical and electronic diagnostic and repair ability in both Ag equipment and diesel truck equipment.
  • 4) Ability to write, diagnosis and work on routine reports and correspondence.
  • 5) Ability to use personal computer and various types of diagnostic equipment.
