About the role
- Identify training needs and train assigned persons to successfully complete job tasks.
- Act as a resource for employers in job modification, reasonable accommodations, alternative communication systems etc. that will increase the likelihood of successful placement and employer satisfaction.
- Monitor progress of assigned persons served and give input to Job Placement Specialist by observing, case noting, and verbally communicating an individual's progress in a timely manner.
Requirements
- (a) A four-year degree in related area of study and one year of work experience with persons with disabilities
- or (b) A two-year college degree in related area of study and two years of work experience with persons with disabilities.
- Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must have strong customer relations skills and relate well with people with disabilities, coworkers, supervisors, funders, family members and other rehabilitation professionals.
- Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable as determined by our insurance carrier.
- Preference will be given to candidates with supervision experience in a vocational setting, experience in 245d licensed programs or to those with experience providing services to people with disabilities.
