About the role
- This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to set the lifestyle agenda in one of the most exciting cities in America.
- The successful candidate will be skilled at identifying the topics everyone wants to read and talk about - and then produce and edit content in The Post's uniquely irreverent tone of voice.
- They should have both high level copy editing experience as well as an innate understanding of audience metrics, and how to write a sparkling headline that generates conversation and traffic.
Responsibilities
- Assigning and editing trending daily stories, as well as long lead stories where needed.
- Analyzing web traffic to drive audience engagement and meet goals of the department.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive editorial experience in a news or high-volume magazine environment, preferably focused on lifestyle content, including experience in an editor or editorial leadership capacity.
- Proven understanding of what makes a story successful across digital platforms - from headlines to visuals and optimization.
- Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS.
- Knowledge in driving and retaining audiences, with deeper, engagement focused content.
Compensation

- This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate's experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
- $95,000 - $120,000
