About the role

  • We currently have an opportunity for a Sanitation Technician at our Winchester, VA pasta production facility, where we produce Ronzoni pasta.

Responsibilities

  • Follow sanitation checklist and best practices to c omplete regular, thorough cleaning of assigned areas (restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entrances, locker rooms, offices, laboratory), and maintain master sanitation schedule
  • Maintain proper inventory by s tock ing cleaning supplies, paper goods, chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Practice appropriate safety procedures when performing work assignments, and support clean-up in the event of an accident or injury on company property
  • The Sanitation Technician perform s essential work, cleaning and sanitizing our non-production areas and other parts of our facilities to ensure safe and edible product is produced consistent with food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written wor d and distinguish object s or equipment visually
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

Nice to have

  • Man ufacturing experience, with strong preference for experience in a food manufacturing environment
