About the role
- This position is a key role within MCI as the Project Manager is responsible for leading cross functional teams to ensure all processes of the MCI Manufacturing PDP after the BOM (Product Development Planning) Process are successfully completed with emphasis on factors of Time/Cost/ manufacturing Readiness, Quality and customers satisfaction.
- This is a 2-year term position.
Responsibilities
- Develop Team Charter and Project Plan at the DC (Deliver Charter) Gate.
- Develop all project and product cost(s), project timelines and manage project risks incorporating the PDP Process.
- Develop, verify and coordinate Pilot Build, SR Launch, Production readiness and Tooling Review PDP/CMP Gates and ensure costs of the product and tooling and ME committed are reviewed.
- Manage Manufacturing projects from initial phase to completion by utilizing Project management concepts.
- Generating risk registry and developing mitigation and recovery plan for Fort Garry and Pembina plant.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships in a team environment.
Requirements
- Prepare and coordinate IP (Investment Proposal) of the project as required.
- Travel required - 30% of the time WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Engineering or PMP designation or working towards designation with minimum 80 hours of related training.
- 1-3 years of Project Management experience with understanding of manufacturing related processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Travel required - 30% of the time
