About the role
- RaceTrac Company Overview Job Description: The Analytics Consultant is a key member of the Enterprise Strategic Analytics + Data Science team (ESADS), serving as a bridge between strategic business needs and analytical solutions.
- The Consultant is expected to demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach, translating business challenges into actionable analytical projects and contributing to the development of a data-driven culture within the organization.

Responsibilities
- Lead and execute analytical projects, applying appropriate methodologies and techniques, under the guidance of Analytics Partners.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and Analytics Partners to understand their goals, challenges, and analytical requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage analytics to drive business value and improve decision-making.
- Support Analytics Partners in developing strategic recommendations and roadmaps.
- Utilize data visualization tools to create clear and impactful presentations.
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and other team members to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in consulting, analytics, data science, or a related field, with demonstrated success in delivering analytical projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business problems into analytical frameworks.
- Proven experience performing business analysis or financial/statistical data analysis, preferably in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, SPSS, Palantir, Python, and other relevant analytical software.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
Nice to have
- Knowledge of syndicated data like IRI and Nielsen is a plus.
