About the role

The Senior Manager conducts recovery engagements onsite at client's facilities to gain an understanding of how the client computes each component of sales tax.
This includes researching issues, working with client downloads in our proprietary software, and identifying potential exposure areas.
Once the field work is completed, the Senior Manager prepares and presents to Clients a comprehensive report of the recovery opportunities.

Assists clients with sales tax issues as required.
Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Accounting and/or Finance.
Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) and four to six years accounting or tax-related experience in industry and/or public accounting environment.
Senior financial experience with emphasis on operational accounting experience and good exposure to current ERP software applications in accounting and financial management.
Basic working knowledge of GST and PST administration is required.
However, a strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) legislation and policies, working as a professional in the commodity tax field is a definite asset.
Superior organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
