About the role

  • Job Profile: Safety Specialist 2 Job Family: Environmental Health and Safety Time Type: Full time Max Pay - Depends on experience: $85,000.00 USD Annual Apply before 11:59 PM Arizona time the day before the posted End Date.
  • Participates in emergency response activities.
  • This position will report to the Hazmat Supervisor and will be expected to work independently and within the MTW team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field
  • travel between campuses will be required to service gases and chemicals at different ASU facilities.
  • Coordinate and schedule all required outside service on the site TGMS.
  • Remain current with required safety training and attend training as scheduled.
  • Ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or be subject to the resolution of hazardous materials incidents.

Nice to have

  • in handling chemicals, hazardous gases, and hazardous waste in the semiconductor environment or comparable environment, for at least 1 year
  • gas monitoring, and fire alarm systems.
  • On call/alarm response operations
  • 40-hour HazWoper
  • LOTO, Lock out tag out
  • PPE selection/Use
  • FGM/TGM maintenance/operation/repair
  • ASU Lab Safety, Fire Safety, hazardous waste handling, and shipping.

Compensation

  • $75,000 to 85,000 per year, commensurate experience and education.
  • $85,000.00 USD Annual
