Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
- Attend project design team meetings and interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer.
- Work closely with the Rosendin Project Manager to coordinate the design criteria with budgetary issues and deliverables schedule on the projects they are assigned.
- Develop a complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems.
- Review plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
- Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with the city, state, county officials, and other outside agencies.
- Prepare documentation for the commissioning of a building.
- Resolve various complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements, technical issue resolution).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience
- Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
- One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged
- Can be a c ombination of education, training, and relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, energy conservation, value engineering, applicable codes, standards, etc., is required to design state-of-the-art constructible projects.
- Proficient in Autodesk, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illumination software, and Oracle software pertaining to Engineering Productivity and CAC generation.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
- Up to 50% (Does not include local field visits)

- The Engineer III is a senior engineering position responsible for providing technical engineering information and assistance to ensure compliance with the project requirements and all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.
- This is a senior engineering role with developed subject matter expertise and the capability to mentor and train other staff.
