About the role
- We are open to considering candidates at Research Associate I or II level.
- Primary human/mouse cell preparation and culture
- Development and optimization of assays aimed at cell isolation and cell analysis, including cell separation, immunofluorescence staining and cell function.
Responsibilities
- BioLegend is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team to develop reagents for immunological assays.
- This person will have opportunities to independently drive research projects from conception to completion, requiring interaction with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Maintain facilities, lab equipment, and supplies as needed
Requirements
- BS Degree in a Life Sciences related area.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working in a lab environment in academia or industry.
- 1 year of hands-on experience in tissue culture of primary cells and cell lines.
- 1 year of hands-on experience with flow cytometry and immunology experiments
- The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, team player, able to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and must possess excellent organization skills.
- Take on other projects or responsibilities as required
Nice to have
- 6+ months of working experience with magnetic cell-separation assays from primary cell sample
- Experience with human and mouse primary cell preparation, tissue culture, and immunofluorescence staining.
- Professional experience with flow cytometry.
- Experience using FlowJo and/or FCS express is desired
- Experience using BD's Canto II or similar flow cytometers is a plus
- Experience in cell-based assays e.g. cell activation, proliferation and differentiation, etc.
Compensation
- The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Independently analyze flow cytometry data using FlowJo and/or FCS express
- Analyze experimental data, prepare report and present it to supervisor and/or department for discussion
