About the role
- The Supervising Counselor is responsible for supervising the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).
- Supervise approximately six (6) AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff
- Evaluate staff performance and provide applicable coaching and training
Responsibilities
- Provide support and resources to ensure OMCP Mentors complete the work ‑ experience portion of certification, including practice of all twelve Core Functions
Requirements
- Required to communicate verbally and in written form.
- Occasionally required to climb, bend, stretch, reach or stoop.
- Ability to change directions as a priorities shift.
- Ability to thrive in environment that require the ability to adapt to changing circumstances,
- Ability to cope with occasionally difficult or temperamental students and faculty.
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress related to the position.
Nice to have
- Current AOD Certification with organization recognized by the DHCS OR a Licensed professional as required by contract.
Skills
- Excellent organization, leadership and time management skill.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi task.
- Knowledge of contractual requirements of ISUDTP is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
- Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS.
