About the role

As an Animal Welfare Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to the highest standards of animal welfare and ethical practices.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in all audits and audit reports.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality about all aspects of work and adhere to all procedures established by FACTA and its auditing clients.
Escalate risks and issues beyond own experience or skill set.
Maintain professional skepticism including consideration of alternative and disconfirming evidence.

Requirements

Animal welfare or animal husbandry exposure required.
Computer proficiency required.
Possess working knowledge of livestock handling tools.
Ability to travel 60-80% to on site audits.

Begin to develop cross species skills and expanding knowledge of other animal welfare sectors. (multi-species auditing is REQUIRED).
A bachelor's degree and education related to animal production and welfare is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience and/or training in Animal production or welfare (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered). Please note this does not include veterinary care for domestic animals.
Hold active PAACO certifications (poultry or swine) or working to obtain.
