About the role

  • Finning is looking for a Service Planner to join our team in Red Deer.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing repair and rebuild projects for heavy equipment and components.

Responsibilities

  • Gather equipment information and establish repair requirements to develop an accurate scope of work.
  • Manage customer service and warranty-related repairs.
  • Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop detailed repair plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical service, repairs, warranty administration, parts, heavy equipment, or a related field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand equipment repair requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related business systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Caterpillar equipment, engines, or heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of warranty processes and service operations.
  • Project management training or experience.
  • Blue Seal certification is considered an asset.
  • PMP designation is considered an asset.
